Moving Away Dirty Tissues on Shabbat
Is it Mukseh to move dirty tissues from the floor or other places on Shabbat?
Can a Man Change a Baby’s Diaper?
My husband says that it may be a problem for a man to change dippers for the following reason. A man is not allowed to wipe himself (in bathroom) using the right hand because he uses that hand to wrap tefilin. Not only that, but when using a left hand, he must also not use the index finger (because the tefilin is wrapped onto it). He claims that since it is impossible for him to wipe the baby using his left hand, he is not required to change dippers. Is there validity to his claim? If so, what should we do if I need to live the kids with my husband?
What is the purpose of the foreskin (orlah)?
I know beyond all shadow of a doubt that G-d did not create anything in vain (that is, everything has a purpose, it seems to me that such a statement exists in the Talmud). So why did G-d create man with a foreskin which has to be removed 8 days after birth? Does the foreskin have a purpose at all for the fetus? Is it intended to distinguish humans from other animals (for only man has it)? Does the Gemara have an explanation for it?
According to Maimonides and other rabbis around the world, G-d has no body. So how does Ezekiel in his prophecy (1:26), say that he saw a “Likeness like the appearance of a man” on the Kisei HaKavod (Throne of Honor)?
