Forgot to eat Kazayit of bread
Question: I was planning to eat a little of bread to make a seudah , less than a Beitzah I washed without a bracha, said Hamotzi and took a bite of the bread. I put the bread on the side of my bowl of pasta and forgot about it. I washed Mayim Acharonim and realized I forgot to eat a Kazayit of bread. Was I able to continue eating more bread to make myself obligated in Birkat Hamazon, or since I did Mayim Acharonim I can’t? What should I have done?
Saying Birkat Hamazon on Mezonot
Question: To the Rabbi again, I am sorry to bother you again but I am the one who ran out of the pizza shop and forgot to say BIrkat Hamazon. I said it on the bus. Now someone told me that he pizza wasn’t Hamotzi but Mezonot and I should not have said Birkat Hamazon but rather Al Hamichya. Should I have aid Al Hamichya or was it good enough to say Birkat Hamazon.

Question: The other day I had lunch, a sandwich, at work. After I finished eating, a friend asked me if I wanted to have some wafers and I agreed. Did I need to make a Mezonot on them or was it exempted by my original bracha?
Said the wrong bracha
Question: On Leil Haseder we made two brachot, on Matzah, Hamotzi and Al Achilat Matzah. I got confused during Chol HaMoed and I thought that since it is Pesach, we say only say the special bracha of Al Achilat Matzah. I didn’t say Hamotzi. When I told my friend, he said it was Shulchan Aruch bracha Levatala and I didn’t make a bracha Rishona the whole Pesach. Is he right?

Kilayim in cotton balls
Question: I am a nursery school teacher and I wanted to give the children seeds to plant on cotton balls. Every child brought different types of beans and seeds. Some peas, some beans. One child brought beans and peas and wanted to plant them together. Is there a problem of Kilayim?
I was in an ice cream store the other day and they were selling milk shakes with cookie pieces. I was thinking of buying it and I asked my friend what bracha to make. He thought it should be Shehakol, but I thought it should be Mezonot. We had the same disagreement about the Bracha Acharona, whether to make a Borei Nefashot or Al Hamichya. I didn’t buy it in the end, but I would like to. So, what bracha should I make?
Eitan Katz: Nigun - Official Music Video
This Nigun was originally called the "Shaleshidis Nigun" as it was composed by, yes you guessed, Shaleshidis a few years back. To be exact, the humming began between washing and hamotzi... The video, filmed and edited by the one and only Jake Kamensky, highlights the unique uplifting energy created by friends coming together to sing and dance. Enjoy, share, be inspired
Challot on Shabbat for Someone on a Gluten-free Diet
What can i do on shabbat if i am super sensitive to gluten? I am concerned regarding the obligation to wash and to eat Hamotzi at the Shabbos meals.
Qué debe hacer una persona sensible al gluten en Shabat con el requerimiento de comer pan en las comidas? El pan sin gluten no está hecho con uno de los cinco cereales y por lo tanto no requiere la bendición “Hamotzi”.
